I like it and don’t at the same time. On the one hand: Yes, it’s great to see how different people dress themselves, their different styles, individual tastes etc. You can find truly beautiful things there to admire: secondhand clothes, vintage pieces that don’t make it into the public life via any other medium but the internet.

On the other hand, some people are really toiling to be the most unique person out there, but somehow the more they try the less they achieve. Most of the over-the-top outfits kind of melt into one big alternative type of conformism.

Although I am not implying that I am not vain myself (everybody is), I have to admit the vanity fair of lookbook.nu tends to give me a headache after 15 minutes of being on the site.

I do love the amateur photography side of it all, though. It’s fresh.

I really do. I found it on someone’s blog, but I cannot recall whose. I have no idea whose dress it is, but it is SO really truly absolutely perfect, that I get all tingly looking at it. The last few days I have done nothing but think about how I could make one of these of my own. Even at the opera last night with PB I thought about it, missing some of the points of Cosi fan Tutte. I don’t usually like this sort of beading, but on this dress it is just so perfect. This dress is the most sensual thing I have seen in a LONG time.

I did some digging around on coats and well, I regret doing so. Now I have these gorgeous things in my head and no money to act out my dreams. One time I saw a BEAUTIFUL embellished and beaded vintage coat in a secondhand shop. They said it was not for sale and I was bummed out of my mind. I thought about that coat for WEEKS!

If only my wallet contained some monetary substances…

I don’t know fashion. I honestly don’t. I have never thought about what label Paris Hilton is wearing because I am sure whatever it is, she still looks like a whore.

HOWEVER. A friend of mine started working in an Emporio Armani boutique that has been chosen among the 3 most beautiful Armani shops in the world. I had never even dared step into an Armani boutique before. What if I broke something?

Well, now I went in while my friend was there and boy do I get why it’s so sought after. I mean the cuts are to die for! Holy Jebus! It’s all so fucking gorgeous. It’s art! If only I could sew so well as to make these clothes myself. There is no justice in the world.
