I Simply Was Not Here

I have been absent from my blog for a while. There’s a good reason for it: I simply was not here.

I was having problems with my perception of reality after giving anime a chance and getting lost in it. Yes, I too have fallen victim to the Japanese. Of course, I did start with Samurai Champloo, so you can surely understand how a person could (the following is all hypothetical… yes, ahem) end up spending 12 hours a day on her butt doing absolutely nothing but search for new anime new new new anime more anime yes please more gimmegimmegimme no dishes we don’t have dishes who are you are you my boyfriend no yes new anime more more more what it’s already 6am what oh no school what’s that anime more more anime!

etc.

I have watched SO so many things since being captured and although I still steal an hour from time to time to watch anime, my perception of reality is once again intact. Of course, I have a looong long way to go before I reach the end of my anime craze.

To give you an idea of what I’ve been doing, below is a list of all the things I’ve seen. It is possible that some of the things are absent from the list. In some cases I just watched some of the episodes and then gave up on the series. In any case, if somebody was to mention any of these titles, I’d at least know what they are.

And yes, if you look at the list closely enough you can see that I have had a romance anime period in my life (Kimi Ni Todoke has THE BEST opening and ending theme), followed by things like Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru. Say what you will about that theme, but Koi Kaze is one of the most beautiful love stories ever. And then came the yaoi period. Junjou Romantica is just SOOOOO cute! Not much of a hentai fan, though, so I can at least feel that much better about my morality. Aaaah, morality schmorality. Boy on boy beats anything anytime!

Now I am happily back to romance and will watch Peach Girl after finishing this post.

Oh, and I graduated from university. Yay.
